My principal research interests lie in the fields of Hydraulic Engineering and Research, Eco-hydraulics, Etho-hydraulics, Fluid Mechanics, Environmental Fluid Mechanics, River and lake Limnology, and Biomechanics with particular focus on:
• Upstream and Downstream Fish Migrations
• Hydro-abrasion on hydraulic structures, bypass tunnels and turbines
• Sediment transport i.e. bed-load, suspended load in super-critical open-channel flow
• Reservoir sedimentation
• Fluid Mechanics, Environmental Fluid Mechanics, River and lake Limnology
• Large and small scale turbulence structures in open-channel flow
• Hydraulic instrumentation and measurement techniques (ADV, ADVP, ADCP, Large & small scale PIV, stereoscopic and panoramic PIV, High-speed imaging, PTV, Drag Force Measurement Techniques, Geophones)
